Utah State coach Stew Morrill asked why his team was picked to win the league this year, considering they start with 5 on the road.
They get all of those teams to come back to Logan, but how many losses do you think you can take to win the league this year? some have said 10 or 11 wins get it done. USU plays at Nevada at 9 on ESPN2 on Wednesday. I know it's early, but a loss on Wednesday could make it tough to climb back into the top half of the league, particularly if Fresno proves to be legit.

The WAC is going to be a logjam for second place. We could see four teams once again with identical records. Only La Tech has separated itself.
Clearly a force we cannot begin to comprehend closed the lid on the basket for Babbitt. That, or his legs got tired. Jimmy thinks when the La team comes up to a little bit of altitude the same thing will happen to them at the end of games. Looked like the refs cut Wesley some slack (after he had 4 fouls) and Jimmy's alright with that for senior big men. The surprise outcome puts a different slant on the question you pose and now all of a sudden Stew can climb back in this thing!
