No, it doesn't mean he isn't coming back. It means he officially declared; when he hires an agent is when we know he won't be coming back. I think it is a great move by JY. Something that Elijah Ingram and Justin Hawkins should've done after their junior years. It doesn't mean they are gone; it means they will get NBA-level feedback and have some great advice on what to work on for their senior year. What is JY losing by doing this? If some team, say the T-Wolves, tells JY, "We are going to take you in the 2nd round", then he stays and makes some big-time money. If he doesn't get that guarantee, then he takes the advice and experience of working out for NBA scouts and comes back for his senior year to elevate his game. Good for JY.
I'm not sure what your concern about BJ West is. And it doesn't mean Young is gone for good. He has until May 8 to take his name out. By that time, he has the opportunity to work out for NBA teams and get feedback to work on his game
Usually I do not learn article on blogs, but I would like to say that this write-up very forced me to take a look at and do so! Your writing style has been amazed me. Thank you, quite great article.

Does this mean he won't be coming back? Also whats the word on BJ West?
This is good for JY, but not the team... I hope the best for him, and hope MM can bring in someone that can fill his shoes... Best of luck to JY

He's still not ready for the NBA. The kid is pretty good but, his mouth is bigger than his game.
A little humble pie and show by example would go a long way when he comes back next year.
I think Derrick Caracter is gone and Herb Pope is just desperate to buy baby food and diapers.
BJ West didn't make the trip to Spokane. Heard rumblings about his desire to stay in Cruces.

The Herb Pope comment was stupid and unnecessary. You know nothing.
Caracter already signed with an agent according to KVIA in El Paso.
