Dixon

Renaldo Dixon checked in with under six minutes in the first half, meaning he will not redshirt this season.

Groves. Gillenwater doesn't even try on D.

Don't disagree. But if not for him, the game would be over at the half. Troy is 6 of 12. the rest of the team is a combined 4 of 14 from the field

It's true. He can score.

8 for 29? 27%? Those shots don't even include the shots he took and got fouled on and went to the free throw line for. If you guys are happy with this then you should be happy with a losing season.

By OT Gillenwater was completely spent. He was shooting flatfooted with no arch on the ball. Definitely was a step and a half slow on defense late. Did okay early.

Not having Rahman in the game and getting pounded inside sure hurt him.

Troy is not a primary post defender. Hes good covering on the weakside and erasing things at the rim, but has too much responsibility without Noodles. Good coaches know this and go right at him if they have the players to do so. Worth noting that Hardeman and Bairstow were mostly ineffective.

If Dixon has been in uniform, it was only a matter of when he got minutes, not if he got minutes. There must not have been a real want to redshirt the young man or he would have been in street clothes.

Uh, anon 12:47, the Lobo game plan was to double and triple team TG. So he scored 17% of the Aggies points from the line. If you really look at the 8 for 29, well three of those were from downtown (9 pts) so he made 5 shots from the floor. Most of those he was hacked on, too. I saw one shot where he got hacked on the forearm and by then the refs were simply tired of calling fouls and let it go! Troy couldn't believe it and I don't blame him.

I know part of Dixon's 29 mins involved overtime, but now that he gave up redshirt status that guy has got to get 15 to 20 mins per game with frequent subs for instruction at the bench. They made a project out of Troy but Renaldo looks like a player who will respond well to coaching! Good stuff with the assist, the block, the steal, two buckets and five offensive rebounds...

Good point, anon 3:34. I can't help but connect Dixon's appearance with the news that Wen is 2-3 weeks away from practicing. This Aggie fan would love to see Wen redshirt, if only because this year's bunch doesn't have the guard depth to give him the sendoff he deserves.
