Former NMSU guard Christian Kabongo has landed at Southern Mississippi I believe. Southern Miss makes a return trip to Las Cruces next year during the non-conference, but it will likely be in the first semester, meaning CK will not yet be eligible to face his former teammates.
Good luck to him. And good luck to Southern Miss, who will have to deal with a decent penetrator, but ball hog who makes two bad decisions for every good one.
ReplyDeleteWhat a punk.
ReplyDeleteWhy is he a punk? His future is his future. They are his personal decisions, therefore he should feel strong enough to make decisions in which will allow him to succeed. Why is he a punk? You must have a better comment or at least a valuable explination for that comment
DeleteOf course Eustachy was impressed. Kabongo's best two games were against Southern Miss: in total he scored 40 points, including 22 of 25 free throws, and got 8 assists and 7 rebounds against the Golden Eagles.
ReplyDeleteI hope Eustachy can help Kabongo's maturity and team basketball sense; he wasn't getting it here.
I'll tell you this: if CK displays the attitude there he did here, he will get significant pine time.
Goo luck to him. He has a lot of talent and maybe this is a better move for him. Everyplay has attitude, let's focus on his basketball life not his personality
ReplyDeleteHe's not a punk. He's an emotional, cocky and competitive kid. He'll grow from this experience because he wants to succeed, so don't expect anymore crotch grabbing. The real concern is that he has a low basketball IQ and is a HUGE ball hog. If he can grow in that area, Southern Miss may have just landed a great player.
