I've only been covering the men's team for a couple years now and don't really understand the fan base and the excuses that we hear about why people aren't coming out. You would think that winning four in a row entering a WAC opener against one of the historically best teams in the league would be enough to draw some interest even if the students are off. I want to give props to the 5,000 or so who did show up because they were into it the entire game and it seemed louder than 5,000. Maybe 5 in a row and another top tier team in Nevada will bring people in. It remains to be seen

hopefully the students are back in town and show up to the game
I'm with you. My kids and I try as hard as possible to get people out there, and it's like...where is everybody? We're from NY, so, you know, tickets at these prices are unheard of. I realize that we're in a financial slow down, but damn...
One question for you; what's up with Taylor Altenburg? Is she injured? Applying for medical red shirt? What's going on?
Also worth noting that transfer Hannah Spanich is doing well for ISU Redbirds.
Other than the students being on break, you need to consider that season ticket prices were jacked up and donations required---and the athletic department got away with it based on the fans having expectations regarding reggie and herb pope. Now I am seeing a lot of people not willing or able to shell out that much money.
This is in regards to the whole attendance issue at the Men's B-Ball games and a little blog left by Mckines (now removed)...How about this Men's team...1.Always be academically eligible and 2. Stay out of trouble. Then maybe you will get the respect and attendance you "deserve" based on principle alone, not winning records.
